Why “Appointment Only”?
We’re really not trying to be difficult—quite the contrary. Over the years we have found that having some preliminary discussions before the Customer arrives at the farm is helpful for everyone because:
We are a Nursery Tree Farm, not a retail nursery. We typically dig trees “to order” rather than have a big stock of trees “ready to go.” So if you just show up expecting to take trees home with you, you may be disappointed and that’s not good for anyone. Better to call or e-mail ahead.
Similarly, if you want to discuss a tree planting project with us, experience has shown that it is more effective for you to send us information in advance—either by our Request a Free Estimate form, e-mail, or phone. Once we’ve studied your situation we may want to send our Lead Foreman to meet with you at your location (no cost or obligation), to analyze what you are trying to do and what’s possible, before you come visit our farm. Or we may want to have such discussions with you by e-mail or over the phone. Then, once the options are narrowed down, is a good time for you to come out.
Often such farm visits will take 30–60 minutes (or more if you are tagging trees), and it is better to do that “by appointment” so the Project Manager who has been working with you is available and has time set aside to fully discuss your project. These projects can be like an “exterior remodel” and it is important that they be planned well.
Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to working with you.
