The Redleaf Japanese Maple is a medium-sized shade tree that has beautiful red-burgundy leaves in Spring and strong Fall color. Each Redleaf Japanese Maple is a "work of art". We grow all of these trees ourselves from seedlings and have literally thousands to choose from. Come pick-out your tree; we'll dig it for you and deliver/plant it if you wish. This is a great way to get exactly what you want, and by buying from the grower you are getting a great deal also.

Most of our trees are so large that people usually hire us to also deliver and install them. When we install trees we include a one year Warranty for no additional charge. For plantings involving several trees we usually include a Watering System and a Starter Kit (sprayer and root enhancer), also for no additional charge. And finally, you have full access to our Customer Service (real people answering the phone) and the Care of Your Trees section of our website.

What's the difference between Redleaf Japanese Maple and "Bloodgood" Japanese Maple?
It is all a matter of personal preference. The Redleaf Japanese Maple is larger and faster growing. It starts with a beautiful burgundy color in the Spring, then can slowly change to varied colors by late Summer--such as red, orange, bronze, even greenish--then beautiful Fall color. Each tree is unique and doesn't necessarily do the same thing from year to year. Weather and water can make a difference.
The "Bloodgood" Japanese Maple is a grafted tree that maintains its reddish purple color all growing season. They have the same basic shape as the "Redleaf", but are smaller and slower growing, which makes them popular for bonsai. They are also much more expensive.
We favor the Redleaf Japanese Maple because we love the variations in color; but others like the Bloodgood better because of its uniform color. It's all a matter of personal preference and we are pleased to offer you this choice.
