October Glory & Red Sunset Maple

Acer rubrum ‘October Glory’ & Acer rubrum "Red Sunset"

Two of the best Red Maple cultivars, these trees have a a broad, rounded crown. Medium to fast growth to 25’-50’ tall, and 25’-35’ wide. Dark green summer foliage turns an intense deep red- purple fall color (October Glory) or brilliant pink/red (Red Sunset--you can see the brilliant Red Sunset Fall color in the upper right of our farm photo above). These trees hold on to their autumn foliage longer than other varieties. Conspicuous red flower clusters in early spring. Excellent as a lawn, street or shade tree. Very popular.
